The ports and mooring areas of Riec-sur-Bélon
The Port of Bélon is the town's most
frequented with Rosbras. Visitors stay
in awe of this picturesque site, dominated
by the manor built between the 15th and 19th centuries
century, and with a breathtaking view of the ocean.
Bélon is best known as an oyster farming center. This is where the famous Bélon plate was born at the end of the 19th century. Formerly matured in landscaped areas uncovered at mid-tide, the oyster is now put in bags placed on tables. These bags being returned regularly, we can see some in the bed of the river.
It is also a popular port for boaters. By taking the coastal path towards the ocean, we pass by Questeland beach, discovered at low tide. A few hundred meters from the ocean, the ruins of Fort du Bélon watch over the entrance to the estuary. From the point of Penquernéo, a panoramic view which goes from the beach of Kerfany to the beach of Port-Manech (municipality of Nevez) is offered to the visitors.

The port of Rosbras
Rosbras is a marina which can accommodate
nearly 200 boats and even more boaters
in love with this small port with character
authentically Breton.
The Aven is both a river fed by the waters of its watershed and an estuary raised by the tides of the ocean. A navigable channel, dependent on the size of the tides, allows boats to go up to Pont-Aven.
The Aven river then presents itself, with the beach of Port-Manech opposite. A little further in the cove of Goulet-Riec, the town has installed around forty mooring stations which are a delight for boaters. Goulet-Riec is a particularly well-preserved place in the town. Located on the edge of the Aven, between the port of Rosbras and the tip of Penquernéo, this site overlooks the mouth. Over the years, it has become a must-see for hikers who walk between land and river on a path, often lined with broom, to the port of Bélon five kilometers away.
Goulet-Riec is also the meeting place for lovers of small coves but also a few dozen boaters happy to find a refuge in high season.
