The National Identity Card

Steps to follow
  1. Make an appointment by phone or go to the reception of the town hall of Moëlan sur mer. Note: it takes on average 1 month to obtain an appointment and then 3 to 4 weeks to obtain the document.

  2. Make a pre-request online at: ants.gouv.fr

  3. Create your file (see the documents to provide below depending on your case).

  4. You must present yourself with the complete file (otherwise the request cannot be processed at the Prefecture).

First request
  • An identity photograph in accordance with the standards in force.

  • A proof of address of less than one year in your name and address.

  • An extract with filiation (or full copy) of the birth certificate less than 3 months old or a valid passport.

Renewal
  • An identity photograph in accordance with the standards in force.

  • A proof of address of less than one year in your name and address.

  • The old national identity card.

  • If the card has expired for more than 10 years: an extract with filiation (or a full copy) of the birth certificate less than 3 months old or a valid passport.

Loss or Theft
  • An identity photograph in accordance with the standards in force.

  • A proof of address of less than one year in your name and address.

  • € 25 in fiscal stamps (sold in tobacconists or online: timbres.impots.gouv.fr ).

  • The declaration of theft (made to the Gendarmerie) or loss (to be made at the town hall when submitting the request or to be obtained from service-public.fr).

  • An extract with filiation (or full copy) of the birth certificate less than 3 months old or a valid passport.

Minor person

The presence of the minor, accompanied by his legal representative, is compulsory.

Additional documents to provide:

  • The up-to-date family record book

  • The identity document of the legal representative

  • In the event of parental divorce, the final, full and original judgment

  • In the event of joint custody, a copy of the proof of address and a copy of the identity document of the other parent
